Two religious principles

July 19, 2007 · 8 Comments

From Nectarean Mellows Group…

We are completely dependent on the mercy of Krsna and the vaishnavas. In fact Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu explained; in this age of Kali yuga there are only two religious principles: the chanting of the holy names and the service to the vaishnavas. We have come to this Krsna conscious movement because we want to be purified, we want to come out of this world of misery and attain pure unalloyed love for the Lord. Therefore we must take these two principles most seriously as the most important aspect of our life; the chanting of the holy names of Krsna and the service to the Lord’s devotees.

Festival of India Movie online + pictures of my trip to the festival in 2005

July 1, 2007 · No Comments

Festival of India - A tour along the Baltic Sea Coast is a movie about the Festival that goes on every year in Poland leaded by HH Indradyumna Swami. Now you can watch it online!

Watching this movie brought back good memories… my brother made this movie in 2004 so the desire of going there appeared in my heart, like it happened with the Harinam movie (check it out on About me).

In 2005 I was in India and had to leave the country because of the visa…Where to go? I went to Poland! It took more than one day to reach there due to some flight delays and so on but it was worth it… I could find the pictures I had somewhere on the Internet so here they are…

This are some snaps from the festival…

We went on Harinam for several hours every day… it was ecstatic!!!

I had service in the kitchen and these are the devotees I served with… and I also made gopi dots during the festivals… I learnt to sleep anywhere during my visit there, hehehe. I think I was never so exhausted in my life but I was so happy that who cares…

Bhakti Vidya Purna Maharaja came for a few days and gave wonderful lectures and questions and answers sessions…

These are some of all the good friends I made there…

It was nice to remember the good times…
I couldn’t make it for Woodstock at that time. I tried to change my flight ticket but it was not possible, so that means that I must come back again in the future… I hope this happens soon. Please pray for that!

Here is the trailer…

I advice all of you to try the experience. You will never forget it!!!

All glories to Sri Sri Gardharvika Giridhari and all the devotees that make this festival possible!!!

Harinam in Florence - May 2007

June 18, 2007 · 8 Comments

By the mercy of my friend Adbhuta I got the pictures I had been praying for so long… well, not sooo long but I had been praying very intensively.

On May 2007, 300 devotees went on Harinam following HH Radhanath Swami Maharaja through the streets of Florence. It was an unforgettable experience…

Adbhuta behing Maharaja in red and blue…

We are behind Maharaja. From right to left, Adbhuta, Jay Gopi and I.

This was the end of the Harinam…

And this is my favorite one. Adbhuta and I holding hands, Jay Gopi looking like a real gopi! … Nirmala Bhakti Mataji is also there and all God sisters… I really love this one!!!

Adbhuta, you made me sooo happy with this gift, sooooo happy. Like somebody told us once… I have no words to describe how happy I am, but I hope you can imagine ;)

Thank you very very veeeeery much. I’m eternally in debt with you and I’m happy for that :)

Pilgrimage to Villa Vrindavan, Italy

May 19, 2007 · 7 Comments

Hare Krsna! I came a couple of days ago from Florence where I spent over a week. I had the good fortune of getting the undeserved mercy of HH Radhanath Swami Maharaja once again. It was an unforgettable experience. Many wonderful things took place on this pilgrimage…

I don’t have pictures of the whole week because I forgot the charger of the camera, so please, if there is any devotee who has some pictures, specially of the Harinam in Florence, I would be most grateful to receive them. My email is satoxi@gmail.com
Thank you very very much.

Now enjoy the Tour…

I arrived on Thursday night and my friend Adbhuta Datri went to receive me with her husband Mohan Prabhu and some other devotees, Prana Nitai and Dodo Prabhus. They were very exhausted because they had been all day driving. Thank you very much. It was very nice to see all of you there :)

Actually the main reason to go to Italy was seeing Maharaja but also Adbhuta, whom I met in India and became my best friend. I’m missing you my dear friend!!!

The next day we were all day around the temple waiting for Radhanath Maharaja and having a nice time chanting on the beautiful gardens of Villa Vrindavan and meeting the old and new friends…

My new friend Dragana and Nairvani… thank you for your association :)

Adbhuta in separation…

Finally, around 14:30 Maharaja was about to arrived so we gathered to welcome him with a blissful kirtan…

And He arrived… and went to have darshan…

I didn’t have any close up of the deities but I found some pictures of Sri Sri Radha Vrajasundara, Jagannath Baladeva adn Subhadra and Gaura Nitai on internet… (this was the Sunday darshan, it was Ekadasy)…

Kirtan went on and on…

And then Maharaja spoke…

I was veeeery very happy…

And also HG Matsya Avatar Prabhu spoke…

Maharaja was discussing “Daksa curses Lord Siva” (from Srimad-Bhagavatam, Fourth Canto, Chapter 2 - click here to read the entire chapter) during the whole week. He gave very enlightening lectures. All the devotees were very affected by his transcendental words…

Adbhuta and I hearing…

Some kirtan pictures…

Here is where we took prasadam…

I was charmed by this magic place…

On Sunday, SB lecture was going to be given in a special place, so we went on Harinam…

This is sweet Jay Gopi chanting…

There was a sweet exchange between this priest and Maharaja… he gave Him a cross…

Just more pictures while we waited for Maharaja…

Then we went to…

Naimisaranya!!! like Maharaja said :) where he gave lecture. Matsya Avatar Prabhu also spoke and we had a beautiful and sweet kirtan…

My friend Elena came that day (I also met her in India)… she is with Krsnaloka Mataji on the right and then with me…

And that’s all that I have. I hope I can get some pictures of the Harinam. We were about 300 devotees, following Maharaja on the beautiful streets of Florence. We were running, jumping, dancing and chanting the Holy Name of the Lord very very Loudly… Hare Krsna Hare Krsna Krsna Krsna Hare Hare Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare!!!

I pray to be always in the association of  the Vaisnavas.

ys, Sol :)

I wanted to thank also to all the devotees who encouraged me to go on with the blog.

ISKCON Tirupati 2007

April 8, 2007 · 12 Comments

I didn’t tell you anything about India yet so I though it was time to show at least a few pictures of my last trip to the Holy Dhama. I decided to start with Tirupati. We were blessed by Krsna not only for coming back again to this Holy place but also for attending the opening of the new Sri Sri Radha Govinda temple…

Pune-Tirupati train and arrival…

Eze and Gaura Prema Prabhu holding the elephant’s leg…

Temple…

Nitai Prabhu with my brother and Mandali with me… we spent most of our time in India with them. Missing you!!!

Next day, devotees very excited waiting for the maha-abhiseka…

Maha-abhiseka…

And also pusya abhiseka…

First darshan after installation…

Amaaazing prasadam…

Temple in detail…

After 3 or 4 days we left to Sri Mayapur Dhama very happy and
inspired by this experience. Thank you to all the devotees that made this possible. All glories to Sri Sri Radha Govinda and Their
devotees!!!.

All glories to Sri Lord Venkateswara - Balaji…

All glories to Tirumala!. We climbed the sacred hills again-4000 stairs- by the mercy of the devotees (I couldn’t have done it without them) and Balaji gave us His transcendental darshan. While I was in front of Him I remembered all my friends, those who were there and those who weren’t. I always carry all of you in my heart :)
Tirumala hill is considered non different from Vaikuntha… I pray to
come back again and again!

Tirupati ki jaya!

Satoxi in Italy

September 29, 2006 · 12 Comments

Did you think I had forgotten? Oh! NO!

Get ready for one more of Sol’s adventures.

First of all I have to explain why I didn’t post this before. Everything started when the last day I spent in Italy, one mataji asked me to give her my pictures.
It’s well known that when you have some special pictures on your camera somehow another you will lose them… and that is exactly what happened to me. I gave her the memory card and Vualá! they went, without leaving a note…nothing!

Fortunately I have a brother that is always there to fix all my mistakes and after a few days he recovered them… gracias Eze…again!

Then I entangled in my cake making episode and I couldn’t find time till now. In fact my brother had to push me, so I heard to him and I said to myself “I have to be faithful to my friends”… I hope you enjoy it!

Everything started with one email. My friend Adbhuta Datri wrote me telling that His Holiness Radhanath Swami Maharaja was going to Italy for a few days and she was going to be there too, so I didn’t need any more excuses. Let’s get the plane tickets!!! It was a little bit risky cause we didn’t have the arrival date of them so we surrendered and got whatever we could.

29th August - Departure to Venice via Madrid (click here to check the itinerary)

We took the plane at 8:00am so I just slept 2 or 3 hours… I was tired but excited!

This is my brother Eze arriving to the new Madrid airport…

In about 4 hours we arrived to Venice but we had to take a bus to Padova where Trai Prabhu would pick us up.

Everything was very auspicious!!! All the buses are like this in Venice!!!
I was remembering all my Sita-friends hehehe…

We went through Venice… see the typical Italian on a Vespa :) He saw me taking the picture and he run away!

And after 4 more hours we arrived to… Prabhupada desh!!! Yes, Trai Prabhu was waiting for us and was in a hurry cause Radhanath Maharaja was taking lunch at his home. At that time we realized that by Krsna’s arrangement we were on time to greet him!!! We were just at the door of the temple and then Trai Prabhu said… I leave you here and I see you later cause I think Maharaja is in the car behind us… I turned my face and there He was… Haribol!.
He was on the way to his home so we had time to get ready for welcoming him :)

While I was getting ready I got the second…well, the third good news. HH Candramauli Swami Maharaja was also coming! (the second was that Adbhuta Datri’s name was written on the door of my room. We were going to stay together!!!).

By the time I had my sari and tilak on I coudn’t stop moving. I was very nervous just to know that I was going to meet Radhanath Maharaja in a few minutes. I met Him in Mumbai, where I stayed a little more than one year. He has been source of inspiration for my brother and I from the very first day and we really missed his association. After six months in Spain, we were going to meet him out of India for the first time :)

All the matajis started to make a circle while chanting and dancing (this was a hint of what was about to come…the most amazing and ecstatic kirtans ever!!!)

Candramauli Maharaja arrived first and then… Radhanath Maharaja!!!

…and all the devotees chanted the Holy Names…

…then we followed him to the temple…

…and he offered respects to Srila Prabhupada…

…then he went for darshan of Sri Sri Gaura Nitai…

…and then we had KIRTAN!!! while Maharaja looked at us smiling :)

We had a looooooooooong kirtan but Maharaja went to take some rest, but we continued with the kirtan :) This was a very auspicious beginning!!!

Then Maharaja was going to speak a few words after some time so I decided to meet some devotees. Here I’m talking with Nirmala Bhakti Mataji, who takes notes from Maharaja’s lectures, then she writes them very nicely and distributes amongst the devotees as a gift. She is really nice. Thank you :)

Candramauli Maharaja then came. He is with Trai Prabhu…

I was sitting in the temple and my brother called me and he said “look who is there”…
Adbhuta Datriiiiii yes my friend and sister :) Can you feel my happiness??? I couldn’t smile more!!!

The sun was setting when Maharaja came…

He expressed his gratitude for being there and he appreciated the curtain of the altar very much. He said there was a lot of suspense when the altar opened and a lot of time to relish the last darhan when it closed; he called it “a curtain in the mood of goodness” (it was reaaally slow hehehe)… we were in a very sweet and familiar mood…

…and then we had more kirtaaaan… I don’t have more pictures cause I was dancing ;)

The next day we attended mangala arati…

…then japa meditation and guru puja…

…and then more kirtan!!

!

After the program Adbhuta Datri gave me her darshan and after a few hours we were quite satisfied and ready for lunch prasadam!

Radhanath Maharaja and Candramauli Maharaja came to the garden for prasadam too. It was very nice to see them together :)

Do you know what? I got one more surprise… Kurma Prabhu, the famous vegetarian cook came to Prabhupada desh for a few hours. Oh! This was too much!!! Finally I was going to meet him in person!!! I got that good fortune. I introduced myself and he remembered my letters (sometimes I write to him asking for coockery advice).

He gave an inspiring lecture on Srila Prabhupada in Australia from one of his books entitled “The Great Transcendental Adventure”.
He just stayed for a few hours but it was such a great gift for me to be on his presence!…

Days went very fast… Radhastami’s Festival was going to be the last celebration for most of the devotees. Here we are dressed in pink and starting to feel the separation… also Jay Gopi was there…

…but there was a Festival to celebrate!!! Srimati Radharani kiii jaya!

Here Their Lordships are ready for the abhiseka…

Candramauli Maharaja gave a wonderful lecture on Srimati Radharani’s transcendental qualities and Radhanath Maharaja read his notes. Very sweet scene :)

This is Krsnaloka Mataji praying full of devotion…

The festival went on very nicely. Of course we had lot of kirtan.

Now we had to get ready to say goodbye and meanwhile a devotee made us a “reading” that resulted very interesting. I won’t tell you what he told me, hehehe…

And time arrived… yes… Maharaja was leaving us…

…and following Maharaja… Adbhuta Datri!!!

Tears, tears and more tears…

The afternoon was quiet. I went for a walk with Eze…
…my name means sun in Spanish and my last name means sunflower in Italian so there I am… Spanish Sun with Italian Sunflower :)

Krsnaloka Mataji saw us and she called us from the window. Her neighbours invited us for cake…

…and after that she invited us to take the “Real Italian Ravioli” made by Citrarupini Mataji (bathing Their Lordships on the right), by some known as “Raviolesvari Mataji”.

Time to say goodbye to Maharaja, to the devotees, to Prabhupada-desh… and thank you. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Devotees are my shelter. The association of the devotees is my only hope. Thank you :)

…and time to say hello to Venice!!! Coming soon…
