Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada!
Next Sunday (23rd July) is my birthday. I’m turning 27 and I’m still in the very beggining of my spiritual life.
I felt that I had to share this with you cause you’re becoming my friends now
I also wanted to say I would be very grateful and happy if you make a small prayer so I can become Krsna Consciouss and help others to do so.

I have strong faith on your sincerity and I’m sure Krsna will hear you. I need your prayers my friends!!!
Thank you very very much. All glories to the Vaisnavas!
Your servant, Sol

Since I came from India I stayed at my mother’s home but one week ago I moved to a new place. I’m sharing apartment with my brother Ezequiel.
So much cleaning went on during the last days but everything is done now so I can concentrate in the kitchen work, hehehe.
I wanted to see how the oven worked so I baked THIS simple but delicious cake that I served with spiced hot milk.
Here is the recipe:
OAT CAKE
2 cups oat flour
1 cup rice flour or wheat flour (I make it wheat-free following ayurvedic reccomendations, but wheat gives a better consistency. Short-grain brown rice flour is the best, but I don’t get it in Malaga)
1 Tablespoon baking powder
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 teaspon dry ginger
1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom
300 gr butter
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup raisings
1 cup chopped apples
GARNISH
1/2 cup “dulce de leche” (cooked sweetened milk… it’s similar to burfi but more creamy. It’s an Argentinian product and one of the few things I know from my origin place:))
coconut powder
1. Sift dry ingredients together
2. In another bowl, cream the butter with the sugar and add the milk. If you want to add some vanilla essence or similar, now it’s the time.
3. Stir into the flour mixture and add more milk if required.
4. Add the raising and the apples and mix gently.
5. Pour the mixture into a buttered pan.
6. Pre-heat the oven to 140 degrees C and bake for 40 minutes. Test to be sure the cake is finished.
7. Decorate with the sweet milk icing and coconut as in the picture.
Note: if you can’t get the sweet milk you can put some fruit jam or lemon-icing on the top… or simply leave it as it is.
I will explain how to make the “dulce de leche” and some other icings in the future

Last Sunday HH Bhakti Caru Maharaja visited Villa Varsana, in Malaga.
Before he came, devotees arranged everything very nicely in the garden.
First of all we had some kirtan with special singers, dancers… and kartals players.

Then Sri Sri Gaura Nitai were brought in procession under the carob tree.

Meanwhile Utara was making the garland for Maharaja.

Soheil, the just married devotee, was getting ready to film the event (click here to see the report of his wedding).

Maharaja was welcome and he was very pleased to see so many Western devotees. He spoke on the power of the Hare Krshna Movement to change the world and he shared his first experience he had with devotees with us.

He told that the first time he saw the devotees was in Hamburg. They were on Harinam and he was very happy to see them chanting, dancing and wearing devotional clothes because he was already missing India. After some time he came back to India searching for a Guru and unexpectedly he found him, Srila Prabhupada, very close to his home in Kalkatta. From the first time he saw the devotees to the time he joined the movement a few years went on, so he pointed out that there is a time for everyone to take Krsna Consciousness in their lives. “As far as it is taken before death it’s allright” he said.
After the class he leaded an ecstatic kirtan. It was so nice to dance on the cooling grass and under the tree!

Note: the average temperature in Malaga is 37 degrees right now.
We took prasad, then Maharaja gave his blessings to the asembled devotees and after that he left us. He was leaving to Ceuta (it’s a Spanish city located in the North of Africa).

Hope to see him soon. HH Bhakti Caru Swami Maharaja kiii jaya!!!

Haribol!
First of all I have to apologize because I won’t be able to upload the pictures that I promise I would… yesterday evening I was ready for Harinam, I put my sari on, I painted gopi dots on my face, I sang very happily all the way to the temple and when I arrived I didn’t see any car… That was not a good sign! I asked to the temple president and he told me the bad new… something happened to Maharaja’s flight so… NO HARINAM
I had darshan…

…and went back home. I love going on Harinam like anything. I can say I became a little bit more serious (I’m still trying to be serious) in Krshna Consciousness after going on Harinam for first time. My brother Eze made a movie on that…

…and when I saw it I said to myself…”I have to go there! (there means Prague)” So I went and I became veeery inspired by the grace of Vidyavacaspaty Prabhu and his amazing chanting

Here you can see Gauravani and myself in total ecstasy, hehehe.

Last Summer I also went looking for Harinams to the Polish Tour with Indradyumna Maharaja, so I was remembering it these days because it is taking place right now!
This year Kurma Prabhu also joined the festival and he is giving cooking classes to everyone. It must be amazing to see him in action! If you want to read Kurma’s updates of the tour just click here

I will go tomorrow to the temple and hopefully Bhakti Caru Maharaja and Prahladananda Maharaja will be there to enlighten us.

(This is Prahladananda Maharaja singing very sweetly last Sunday Feast)
See you soon! ys, Sol

I love to have darshan of Radha Gopinath on Sundays… I meditate on the time I spent in Chowpatty.
Sundays were different. I used to make garlands in the morning and then I run to Govindas for breakfast to get ready for the program.
I can’t tell how much I enjoyed Sunday Feasts with my friends. Radhanath Maharaja used to give class and lead kirtan. I remember every Monday I was a little bit sick for so much dancing, hehehe.
All glories to Sri Sri Radha Gopinath and his devotees!
